Individual Health Insurance is coverage that you purchase on your own, on an individual or family basis, instead of having insurance through your employer.

  • Coverage can be purchased on the exchange or directly through a health insurance carrier.

  • Customers can buy coverage during the open enrollment period.  However, some states do offer deadline extensions.

GROUP HEALTH INSURANCE

Group Health Insurance provides coverage to a group, usually company employees or members of an organization.

  • Groups can only purchase plans, and most require a 70% participation rate amongst employees.
